The Conversation

Slow down, read and listen…     “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening…” (I Samuel 3:9)

God Still Speaks…

Wow, where does one begin? The topic of God speaking to us is so vast and mysterious much like the universe… Lets begin there. Simply look up on a star filled night and allow your heart to be filled with awe and wonder.

“God, do you still speak? How? Show me…”

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where there voice is not heard. (Psalm 19:1-3)

...I know...
written by Steven, March 27, 2010
...not sure where the verse is but for the longest part of my life always liked.... "Be still and know that I am God"... Brings us back to the core of our being. Just stop! Realize who I AM! We make the life He has given us so busy that the busy-ness becomes number one and not the One who has given it to us....

Soften my heart
written by Lisette, June 28, 2010
Had a quick vision this morning after I woke up. I saw a ravine full of thick trees. But unlike green lush leaves that I would have expected, the trees had dry brown leaves. I was standing on top on a road looking down into the ravine, but right then I noticed that small pieces of loose dirt and stones were eroding into the ravine.

Interpretation: Just like you preached yesterday, things that "harden our hearts", I understood that when our heart starts erroding, breaking away, we end up in a spiritual valley where things are not "green and lush". And I agree, things that erode or harden my hearts are defenately unthankfulness and murmuring and complaining. Jesus help us stand on firm ground, not ground that erodes.
