The Conversation

Slow down, read and listen…     “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening…” (I Samuel 3:9)

When God speaks, he does not give new revelation about himself that contradicts what he has already revealed in Scripture. Rather, God speaks to give application of his Word to the specific circumstances in your life. When God speaks to you, he is not writing a new book of Scripture, rather, he is applying to your life what he has already said in his Word. Throughout the Bible, whenever God spoke to someone, that person’s life was never the same again. The same is true today. Our prayer is that as you listen to what God is saying to you, you will respond in love and obedience and your life will be transformed as well.

In my experience there is no other way to "hear" God's voice than to cultivate our hearts. With one exception every time God speaks/moves in me it's been in a whisper. How do you hear/feel a whisper in todays fast pace, crazy. insane, instaneous world? You MUST cultivate. You must know how to discern the Father's voice above the clamor of the world, your own will (flesh), and the devil. Scripture reveals the character, intension, motives and promises of God. You must be "Rock" soild in these to discern who is speaking. God is a "GOOD" Father, gentle, kind, compassionate, ready to forgive and help in ways that we don't deserve. That is GRACE.....MERCY......UNCONDITONAL LOVE....things not humanly possible. Cultivating your heat is like teaching it God's language.
