As we continue to center our thoughts on God’s word, there is
great value in focusing on the short phrases that Jesus shared with
His followers. Some give instruction, some give comfort, but all help
center the heart. Slowly read and meditate upon the words of Jesus.
“Come follow Me…” Matthew 4:19
“Learn from Me…” Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me all who are weary…” Matthew 11:28
Mark 6:31
“Remain (or abide) in Me…” John 15:4
“Trust in Me…” John 14:1
“Apart from Me you can do nothing…” John 15:5
“I am with you always…” Matthew 28:20
As you go through your day, remind yourself that Jesus is
continually with you, guiding and leading. Allow His words to
soften and center your heart. Listen for His voice (“My sheep know
my voice…”) and respond in loving obedience.
